Volunteer Attorney Registration

  • LAW Advocates provides free civil legal assistance to low-income Whatcom County residents by linking them with attorney and community volunteers. Without volunteers like you we could not exist. Please take a few minutes to tell us about your skills and interests and let us know how we can support you as a volunteer!
    Street Law is LAW Advocates’ free, drop-in legal advice program, hosted scheduled Saturdays 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Bellingham Public Library Central Branch. Make a BIG impact in just 3 hours of volunteering. Commit to as many or as few shifts as you like.
    Tenant Clinic is LAW Advocates’ drop-in legal advice program for low-income renters, hosted Fridays 12:30-3:00 pm at the Whatcom County Courthouse. Training provided for Volunteer Attorneys. Commit to as many or as few shifts as you’d like.

    LAW Advocates would match you with a volunteer attorney who wants to take a pro bono case and wants mentorship from an an attorney experienced in that area of law. We will help you and the mentee develop an individualized plan to provide the amount of support you prefer.
